Supply Chain Introduction


Man needs different goods to satisfy his needs .In early days, these needs were basic for his survival like food, shelter, clothing etc. He was able to meet these needs by wandering in the forest and hunting animals for food, risking his life for survival.

From this phase, we humans have developed safer civilizations as we started cultivating food there by reducing dependency on nature. This control over satisfying our needs has been part of our evolution.

From basic needs, man’s desires has been evolving to a level that his needs can no more can be satisfied by himself. For this, he started to trade by selling his skills to get his needs met from others.

Technology and needs of people have been evolving and accordingly these industrial setups has been adopting to the challenges of catering the growing complex needs.

Initially needs of people who are rich were only able to met but industries have been focusing on the productivity to bring the costs down so that an average person can also meets his needs. This has led to industries adopting various technologies and wisdom of generations are being applied to improve the ways of producing goods in efficient way.
